Douglas Fir Boat Lumber

Douglas Fir tends to be pinkish to yellow in color, with typically straight and plain grained. Douglas Fir wood is strong, moderately durable in regard to decay resistant and sensitive to insect attacks. Relatively easily work in machine well, but has moderately insensitive effect on cutters. This lumber does not bend or steam readily and is fairly easy to work. Can accepts stains, glues and finishes well.
